Both have large surface area contact with the blood capillaries. Fluid from blood flows into sweat gland because inside sweat gland is hyper tonic. In kidney there is also good surface area contact in Bowman's capsule between capillaries (glomerulus) and nephron. Fluid flows from blood into nephron which at first is hypertonic because its full of solutes.
