Hello. If I place an onion in a cup of water, and allow it to grow roots over time, what can I do to speed up the rate of mitosis in the roots?

You could optimize mitosis by using hormones, such as auxins or gibberellins, or heat it.

Yes, too cold and they work poorly, too hot and they get denatured.
