Although Max was a conservative Christian, when his homosexual son came out of the closet and chose to marry his boyfriend, Max accepted them with open arms. Furthermore, he volunteered to pay for their wedding, which he planned in less than a month.
 
  While giving a speech at the reception, Max raised his glass and said, God loves all his children equally. This was reported on the national evening news, even though neither Max nor the grooms were well-known people. Which element of this story made it newsworthy, and why?
