The nurse administers two blood pressure (BP) medications to a patient and asks the certified nurse assistant (CNA) to obtain a BP reading in 30 minutes. The CNA states, I just took his BP. What is the most appropriate response by the nurse?

  a. Take it again so we can be sure nothing else is wrong with him.
  b. I need to check the patient's response to the BP medications.
  c. If his BP drops too much, I'll need to discontinue one of the medications
  d. If you just took his BP, then recheck it in 2 hours instead.
