More information will be helpful, however for general class Campbell biology; AP biology Campbell biology AP edition is a good text with supporting materials though the new Campbell biology in focus looks great.

If you're teaching grade 12's (AP-level), this book will work perfectly.

If it is for AP Biology, you should use Biological Sciences, 5th edition by Freeman et al., 2014 (ISBN: 978-0321841803). I used it for intro level biology at Arizona State, but it I think it explains things in really simplistic way. It goes along with Pearson's MasteringBiology, which would be a really good way to help practice and prepare for the AP Exam.

If it's for regular high school biology, I also think that it would be easy for freshman-seniors to understand the key concepts.

Check with your teacher to see if you have a required book, if no teacher then check online. possibly in a place like amazon for the best rated book.

Good luck

Campbell's definitely a good source. Almost all levels, regardless of regular or honors uses it in our school. However I guess the McGraw-Hill Biology textbook (ISBN-13:  9780073383071
ISBN:  0073383074) could also work. The AP classes in our school uses those.
