sensory neurons of the afferent division send information from both the external and internal environments to interneurons in the CNS. Interneurons  are located within the brain and spinal cord. They are responsible for the analysis of sensory inputs and coordination of motor outputs. Motor neurons carry these instructions from the interneurons of the CNS to other tissues, organs, or organ systems, they act as effectors carrying out the orders of the interneurons. This is the sensory-motor pathway
