I know that catalyst is a chemical but I want to know what they are made up of. Are they biological chemicals or non biological chemicals or both?

They are both.  Anything that speeds up a chemical reaction is considered a catalyst.  The biological catalysts are proteins called enzymes.  The nonbiological catalysts can be lots of things: heat, mechanical shaking, and platinum dust are all examples of nonbiological catalysts.
