What are the features of our health care system that distinguish it from other nations? In the United States people from outer nations choose to look at us as if we are very privileged. Which we are, but this doesn’t come very easy. In the United States we lack health care insurance as a union. Yes, it is made available for everyone, but it is not easy to come across. The United States make it hard for people to get health insurance if you are not a citizen but if you are a resident. In the United States we are unique because we can serve the poor with insurance and give the option to get health insurance for coverage. What results from the U.S. blending of its public and private sectors to deliver health care? When blending of its public and private sectors in health care, we are making it able for everyone to receive treatment in healthcare without any judgment from the specific type of money that you as an individual might have. It allows us to become equal and become on the same playing field without any issues. It is hard enough that tax payers with more privilege money look at people differently. It is best to just make everyone equal and blend the sectors so that we can all be the same. What factors transformed the preindustrial medical profession into a modern, organized profession? What is special about health care is that it is always evolving and never gets old. This is a field that will never die it will always have a need and a use. With transformation as a child I grew up with my mother doing home remedies and bed side manners with not so much knowledge on what medication can really become. Now we have newer technology that can allow us to develop and grow with the unlimited possibilities of medical. What are the reasons U.S. health care reform efforts have not met with success? The health care refoment is meant to destroy each other instead of encouraging and build another. Health care reform will always fail if they are unable to sit and have a clear understanding of what is going on. some challenge we will always face will be pricing issues. What are the key distinctions between Medicare and Medicaid? Medicare is a federal program that provides us health coverage if you are an elderly basically someone who is over the age of 65, or if you might have a severe disability and it wouldn’t matter the income that you bring in. with Medicaid you can have both, a disability and be an elderly. This is distinguished differently among each state. Prediction: Should we, as a society, listen to Emanuel? Do you believe in "techno utopians," and if you do, are they driving up our costs for health care? Are his ideas good for hospital business and hospital administrators? I say there is real pain in them, and PHARMA and MT firms will not be happy with them. Agree or disagree? According to Sells (2015) Emanuel described techno utopians as “people who are gung-ho on medical technology and are less vocal on the cost to the entire health care system” (Penn’s Emanuel on high-priced drugs, high-priced technology, including Penn’s). I would have to say I disagree I do not consider myself a part of this “techno utopians” group. Technology is evolving and emerging on a daily rather we like it or not and technology and equipment isn’t free if it was no one would ever invest in it nor take the time to even think about what can we do as a group to help better health care. When it comes to the cost there is not anything we can do about it we just have to remain positive that it will help us in the long run. Yes, it might be pain for them but you cannot focus on what the negative is happening now, we have to remain humble and focus on the future. Reference: Sell, D. (2015, June 16).
