(a) Glucose (C6H12O6), a simple sugar;

(b) ascorbic acid (HC6H7O6), known as vitamin C;

(c) the stearate ion (C17H35COO–), an ion that functions as a surfactant. (To fit this illustration in the allocated space, the scale at which the surfactant molecule is drawn is different from the scale used for the glucose and ascorbic acid molecules.)
