Description
(a) In Manitoba, tallgrass prairie is being restored at Beaudry Provincial Park. (b) In Florida, phosphate mines are so degraded that even after restoration, some exotic species such as cogongrass often invade. (c) These old open- pit mines in Middlesex, England, have been converted to valuable freshwater habitats, replacing the wooded area that was originally present.
