Description
Membrane vesicles bud from an organelle inside the cell, such as the Golgi apparatus, and are loaded with a specific cargo. The budding process involves the formation of a protein coat around the emerging vesicle, which is later shed. When the vesicle fuses with the plasma membrane, it releases its cargo's contents into the extracellular environment.
