Bertrand Russell (1872–1970).

Description
British philosopher; one of the founders of modern logic. In The Principles of Mathematics (1903) and with Alfred North Whitehead in the three-volume Principia Mathematica (1910–1913), Russell advanced the view that all of mathematics could be derived from logical premises. Also a political activist, he wrote many popular books on topics such as religion, ethics, and nuclear disarmament.
