Cell Junctions

Description
Cells can be held together in a number of ways. These points of contact between cells are called cell junctions.

Cell junctions are structures within tissues that consist of complexes to provide contact between neighboring cells or between a cell and the extracellular matrix. In animal cells there are several types of junctions, including gap junctions, tight junctions, and desmosomes.
