D
Readiness for Enhanced Parenting is the best nursing diagnosis for this patient, who is seeking information to improve her ability to care for her child (i.e., to nurture growth and development of the child). Although breastfeeding may be part of parenting, this diagnosis is to specific for the information in this scenario. Communication certainly is important to good parenting. However, the patient is asking for more than just information about communication. Coping skills are not what this patient is requesting help with, although parenting may involve these skills.
