The patient and the nurse have agreed on problems to be addressed during a short course of outpatient therapy. At the beginning of the appointment, the patient states, I'd like to work on the issue of relationships today.

Once the patient and nurse have collaborated to define and prioritize problems, the relation-ship moves from orientation to working phase. The remaining options have no relevance to the scenario since there is no reference to roles, alternative behaviors, or managing behaviors.
