So I have a class where we read research papers and discuss them.

We are not quizzed or asked questions from the research paper but mainly just need to read it and be ready to discuss.

The issue is that some of these papers go long, for example here is a paper we have to read:

https://mbio.asm.org/content/10/3/e00720-19

Its 15 pages long, ik this may not seem long to those who read research papers but I was wondering if their is some sections I can skip and still be able to know the gist of the paper and be ready to discuss with my class.

I assume the abstract, introduction and discussion sections should be my main goal or whats your guys' thoughts?! Any "tips"?! Thanks!
