there are different names for each chromosome, extra chromosome 13 is trisonmy-13 syndrome, extra chromosome 21 is down dyndrome, extra X chromsome is kinefeler syndrome.

Non-disjunction

There can either be non-disjunction in meiosis I or meiosis II. Each having its own outcome. The following picture is pretty good to imagine whats happening.

Non-disjunction is the cause of diseases such as Trisomy 21 (down syndrome. trisomy 21 is when a person has an extra chromosome 21
