I have seen both FeCl2 and FeCl3, and just getting back into chemistry after a LOOOOOONG hiatus, not sure which is right.  Thanks!

FeCl2. It's otherwise known as Iron(II) chloride.

FeCl3 is Iron(III) chloride, also called ferric chloride.

FeCl2 is the correct formula
Ferrous will have the oxidation of Fe in +2 state.
