How was the power of divine right defined by King James I of England?
 
  A) He believed divine right meant only that they were representatives of God, not god-like beings.
  B) He believed that monarchs are considered gods, as dictated by God himself because they were his lieutenants on earth.
  C) He argued that God had entitled monarchs with no greater power than what the subjects provided to that monarch.
  D) He was of the thought that no monarch was or could ever be divine in God's eyes.
