What would happen to the nervous system functions if all of the neurons were myelinated?

It would add bulk to the brain and spinal cord. Thoughts may be faster by a small amount as a result of the short distances covered by nonmyelinated neurons, but this increased speed would be of no great value. Faster impulse conduction may cause confusion of thoughts and actions, because their timing would not be in sync with sequential thoughts and actions.
