i have a biology exam in a couple of days and its on gentics.
there's one problem i dont get, crossing over.
in a problem, how can you tell if something has been crossed over (on the chromosomes) or if its just a normal test cross.

could someone answer me in the easiest possible way?

When i took biology it was always demonstrated with a red and a blue chromosome. when genetic crossing over occurred the red chromosome would have a little piece of the blue on one of the ends, as would the blue have a tiny bit of the red, when they crossed over, or shared genetic information
