HNO3 + 2 H2SO4 ------------> NO2+ + 2 HSO4- + H3O+

I don't know if I should just them into that or draw a new reaction/diagram (I'm not sure what this would look like though), and not even sure where to put them.

Any help?

This is how a working chemist would write the reaction:

HNO3 + H2SO4 -> NO2(+) + HSO4(-) + H2O

One molecule of H2SO4 drops out of the equation because HSO4(-) combines with H3O(+) to give H2SO4 and H2O. This leaves a molecule of H2SO4 on both sides of the equation and this means it can be dropped from the reaction.

I don't quite know what "curly arrows" are.
