help please!

When water is added to sucrose, sucrose and water, after thorough mixing, form a solution. What can you deduce about the polarity of the bonds in the two substances?

the polarity in the bonds WITHIN the molecules do not change. their orientation, however, relative to each other do change. the would experience H-bonding, since you have hydroxyl groups in the sucrose and there are hydrogens attached to the oxygen atom in water.
