I've been reading a little about polarity reversals, and none of the scientists can agree on how long it takes or exactly what will happen to us.  It seems to be inevitible though, and I just want to know what you guys think might happen to life on earth.

Life during the change might be extreme. If the atmosphere can't protect use as well from the radiation in space people will die. But after the change life should be possible. Also everything that is set as a standard right now will change (ex: compasses)

the poles shift, redirecting the magnetic poles ( north would be a different direction) and it would change temperature in certain areas. for example, if the north pole moved to disneyworld, north would point to disneyworld, and it would be freezing in florida.

This is not a new phenom - has happened several times.  Does not affect life.  Dr. Wattenburg speaks of this on KGO radio.  A great source for information.
