Ans: B
Feedback:
Research has shown that 52 of nurses complain of chronic back pain and 38 say they had to take a leave of absence from work because of back pain. Because musculoskeletal injuries are so prevalent in the nursing population and because lifting a client can cause serious injuries to the nurse and the client, it is vitally important to take precautions when lifting, transferring, and mobilizing clients. These actions pose a greater threat than providing hygiene to clients, assessing clients, or approaching unfamiliar clients.
