Organisms can be categorized into one of four groups based on their source

Organisms can be categorized into one of four groups based on their source of carbon and their use of either chemicals or light as a source of energy. Please discuss all four of these groups.

heterotroph- an organism deriving its nutritional requirements from complex organic substances.
autotroph-an organism that is able to form nutritional organic substances from simple inorganic substances such as carbon dioxide.
chemotroph-are organisms that obtain energy by the oxidation of electron donors in their environments,organic or inorganic.
phototrophs- an organism that can utilize solar energy
