A nurse is working with a male patient who is receiving palliative care during the end stages of pancreatic cancer.
 
  The nurse has generated a therapeutic rapport with the patient, and the patient becomes tearful during a discussion with the nurse, stating, I was such a terrible father in a lot of ways. You never get those years back with your kids. The nurse should continue this conversation in the knowledge that the patient may benefit from:
  A) Sympathy
  B) Repentance
  C) Advice
  D) Hope
