Can someone please tell me why answer choice A is the correct answer?  Thank you so much!

The question is: Which reagents will produce this ether in the highest yield?

The other part of the question and the answers choices are structures, so I attached a picture of the question to this post.

Hi diamond3094,

Looking at the choices, B and C could be eliminated, because the configuration of carbon #3 of the product would be different than what we wanted.
For D, notice the carbon that have the bromine group is a secondary carbon Rightwards Arrow it could either undergo a substitution or elimination reaction. However, for A, the carbon containing bromine group is a primary carbon, which will almost exclusively undergo substitution reaction.
