I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense but I really need some help on this.  In my A&P lab im having to answer questions on a carbohydrate digestion test tube test.  Why in carbohydrate digestion lab activity would you test a substrate for Starch & Sugar?  This is due today please help!

Question makes no sense, but enzymes bind to their substrates, for example starch, and convert it to single monosaccarides, like glucose.
