Many potential correct answers. Phagocytes in the area would respond to PAMPs and damaged cells by secreting cytokines such as IL-1, IL-6, and TNF-a. This would result in swelling and redness in the area as chemokines get released and other leukocytes leave the bloodstream and enter the tissue.
