Not sure if your question is 100% clear. The word amphipathic means that it contains hydrophilic and hydrophobic regions in its structure. If a substance is amphipathic, it allows the substance to trap hydrophobic contents near its core and away from a polar solute like water. At the same time, the substance's hydrophilic portion is on the outside and allows it to be stable in the polar environment. As a result, a protein is considered amphipathic based on the amino acids that make it up, not its length.
