A patient has been taking metronidazole for a protozoal infection. The patient telephones a nurse and reports, My urine has turned a very dark color. The nurse should explain:
 
  a. This a harmless and common side effect produced by the medication.
  b. This indicates you are allergic to the drug and should stop it immediately.
  c. This could mean you have kidney stones from the drug. Come in for an x-ray examination.
  d. This could mean you have a suprainfection in the bladder and should have a urinalysis.
