We know that James ate 3/4 of the bag of raisins, which means he left 1/4 of the bag for his friends to share. Since there are 3 people sharing equally, each person gets 1/3 of the remaining 1/4 of the bag:
1/3 x 1/4 = 1/12

Therefore, each of the friends gets 1/12 of the whole bag of raisins.

Answer: 1/12
