A biopsy of the minor salivary gland of the lower lip was taken to evaluate for the salivary component of Sjgren's syndrome. The tissue showed a diffuse lymphocytic and plasma cell in-filtrate in the gland parenchyma, extensive scarring of the gland with acinar atrophy, and ductal dilatation. This is most suggestive of which of the following?

  a. Sarcoidosis
  b. Adenoid cystic carcinoma
  c. Pleomorphic adenoma
  d. Chronic sialadenitis
  e. Sjgren's syndrome
