For substantial health benefits, adults should engage in 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity, or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity per week, along with moderate to high-intensity muscle-strengthening activities at least two times per week. Moderate-intensity physical activity refers to walking briskly, while vigorous-intensity refers to activities such as lap swimming or jogging.
