The sentences below are grammatically incorrect. Some contain incomplete elements (fragments). Others are run-ons. Please cure these sentences of their grammatical ills. Rewrite them clearly, concisely and without changing meaning. a. They grew the sweetest corn in the county. Despite an unusually wet and chilly August. b. It might be because of the new seed. But maybe not. c. The prize is awarded every year and this year it went to a writer from North Carolina. d. The play was a commercial success but the critics didn't seem to like it at all or maybe it was that the critics were offended, I'm just not sure. e. The virus spread throughout the nursing home, there didn't seem to be anything anyone could do to stop it.
