According to Mendel’s principle of segregation
   A. each individual has two separate alleles controlling each trait.
   B.heterozygous individuals have one dominant allele and one recessive allele.
   C. the two alleles at each gene locus separate during gamete formation.
   D. each allele pair separates independently of all other allele pairs.

Hi JOJO,

Remember, Mendel's Law of Segregation states that allele pairs separate during gamete formation, and randomly unite at fertilization.

He didn't know anything about genes at the time (DNA discovery did not happen till the early-1950's). I would choose C.

What textbook are these questions coming from?
