For a PA axial oblique large intestine projection (RAO position), the
 
  1. patient is rotated until the midcoronal plane is at a 35- to 45-degree angle with the imaging ta-ble.
  2. central ray is angled 30 to 40 degrees caudally.
  3. central ray is centered to exit at the ASIS and 2 inches (5 cm) to the left of the spinous pro-cesses.
  4. an 11-  14-inch (28-  35-cm) IR is placed crosswise.
