The nurse clarifies that a patient with HIV does not necessarily have AIDS until:
1.   two or more opportunistic infections are diagnosed.
2.   the appearance of Kaposi’s sarcoma.
3.   the CD4 cell level drops to 200.
4.   there is a positive ELISA.
