A drug is injected into a patient and the concentration of the drug is monitored. The drug's concentration, C(t), in milligrams after t hours is modeled by

C(t)= (5t)/ (2t^2 + 2)

What is the horizontal asymptote for this function? Describe what this means in practical terms.

I found out the horizontal asymptotes to be y=0, but I do not know how to describe that practically...

So in the x axis you have time in hours, and in the y axis the drug's concentration. Then, if the asymptote is in y=0, this means that if you want a drug's concentration = 0 after injecting the drug, theoretically you will NEVER have it, because the asymptote tends to 0 but never arrives (definition of asymptote).

Practically I suppose that when you arrive to a very close to 0 concentration, you may suppose it = 0.
