\(\frac{(4.56)(10.87\times 10^{-5})(1.67\times 10^3)}{(6.37\times 10^{4})(3.88\times 10^{-2})(12.141)}\)

First, use your calculator to compute the whole thing:

\(\frac{0.82777224}{30007.20996}\)

In scientific notation, that is: \(2.758577825\times 10^{-5}\)

Notice the exponent of negative 5, it is not a multiple of 3.

Push the decimal to the right once, the exponent decreases by 1 to become -6

\(27.58577825\times 10^{-6}\)

Now it is in engineering notation. Taking into account significant figures AND rounding, the answer is:

\(27.6\times 10^{-6}\)
