How did the commercial revolution contribute to increased education in China?
 
  a. It did little to increase the number of literate Chinese.
  b. Literacy became nearly universal.
  c. Education advanced slightly but mostly remained a low priority in Chinese society.
  d. More people could afford books and the cost of educating their children.
  e. The price of books increased, making them affordable only to the wealthy.
