Antibody Reconstitution

Hi All,

I have question regarding some antibodies I wish to reconstitute.

The instruction form that came with the order states, "Reconstitute with 0.1 ml sterile distilled water (Final concentration=1mg/ml. Final buffer = 0.01 M PBS, pH 7.4 with 10 mg/ml BSA and 0.1% Sodium azide)"

So, does this mean I just use sterile distilled water, or am I somehow supposed to use PBS/BSA/etc., or is the PBS/BSA/etc. just part of the current makeup of the antibody vial that I have purchased?

I'm assuming the buffer comes with the kit and all you're supposed to do is add the water.

Thank you so much! Now here is a further question for that...

It says on the instructions below that:

"storage condition: store at -20*C for one year. [...] When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4*C"

So, how long would it be with water? Is PBS okay then too? Confused.

Once you reconstitute it, it will expire in two weeks time, otherwise you'll need to start with a fresh batch.
