A 12-year-old girl presents to the emergency room with complaints of a sore throat, fever, and malaise for the past six days. The parents have noticed that she has been progressively sleeping more. The patient is diagnosed with mononucleosis.

The caregiver education done by the nurse should include all of the following except: 1. Rest periods should follow play/activity periods.
   2. After the girl goes back to school, she should not participate in ice hockey for 6 to 8 weeks.
   3. Keep her well hydrated, and provide nutrition that is high in protein.
   4. Give acetaminophen or ibuprofen for fever management.
