What should the nurse anticipate when providing preoperative medication to a child?
 
  A) A sedative and an analgesic-atropine mixture will be sent to the operating room with the child.
  B) A sedative will be given one and a half to two hours before surgery and an analgesicatropine mixture given just before the child leaves for the operating room
  C) A sedative and an analgesicatropine mixture will be given just before the child goes to sleep the night before the surgery
  D) A sedative will be given three to four hours before surgery and an analgesicatropine mixture given one to two hours before the child leaves for the operating room.
