ANSWER:According
to Aristotle, thought, the third basic element of a play, includes the themes,
arguments, and overall meaning of the action.
Thought is present in all plays, regardless of genre, since playwrights write from an
individual point of view.
Also, an authors' point of view to some extent reflects the society for which they're
writing.
The devices a playwright might use to convey thought include:Character
relationships
Ideas expressed by characters who earn the audience's sympathy
Ideas expressed by characters the audience dislikes
Conflicts within the story
The resolution of those conflicts
Spectacle
Music and song
