You need the solution of the system?
3x+y=-5
3x-y=-1

First, you take one equation and solve as for one variable (for example y)
3x+y=-5 <=> y=-5-3x

Then you replace the variable to the other equation:
3x-y=-1 <=> 3x-(-5-3x)=-1 <=> 3x +5+3x=-1 <=>6x+5=-1 <=>6x=-6 <=> x=-1

Then, you use either of the equations, and you replace x with -1:
3x+y=-5 <=> 3*(-1)+y=-5 <=> -3+y=-5 <=> y=-2

So, the solution is (x,y)=(-1,-2)
