Rodriguez says that his education irretrievably changed his family's life.. What does he mean? Do you agree? Do you anticipate that your education will affect your relationships with family and friends? How will these changes affect your academic self-concept?

Students often consider their family to be a solid foundation on which to build a future. Encourage them to consider that the foundation--and their relationship to it--may change as a result of their college experiences. Students may have begun to experience such changes
