The common factor between women and minorities is their historical treatment in the kitchen.
Minorities and women have historically been relegated to lower-echelon positions with no
opportunity for advancement into the management ranks. Both groups now have greater
protection in the workplace against discrimination. Women span all races. While it would seem
unnecessary to point this out, it is important because it means that there are individuals in the
workplace that are often the victims of discrimination from two directionsrace and gender.
