Kyle and his wife Sheri decide they are finished having children, and thus Kyle undergoes a vasectomy. Not more than a couple of months after the surgery, they are surprised to find out that Sheri is pregnant. What may have gone wrong?

  a. The doctor may have cut the wrong vas deferens.
  b. The sperm may have circumvented the vas deferentia and traveled through the spermatic cord.
  c. The procedure is only 80 effective, so the chance of pregnancy, although decreased, still existed.
  d. The couple may have had sex too soon after the procedure, allowing sperm remaining in Kyle's reproductive tract to be released into the semen.
